Step by Step Process
STEP 1
Consultation
A thorough one on one consultation with our cosmetic tattoo expert is done before starting the procedure. To ensure we provide a custom and tailored service for you, we ask you to show us any photos you like (shape and colour), and how you would normally draw your eyebrows/lips/eyeliner on to get an idea of each client’s unique style.
STEP 2
Shape and measure
We will measure and shape with a pencil and a professional ruler to ensure symmetry and precision. We will shape to compliment your facial features, and by doing so we design based on your natural eyebrow hair/lip shape and desired look. This step can take up to 1 hour, as we don’t start the procedure until you are 100% happy with the shape.
STEP 3
Colour
We will then select a colour with you, ensuring it’s suitable with your hair and eyebrow features. The cosmetic tattoo will swatch the colour on your forehead – this gives you the confidence that we will be choosing a colour that is unique to you.
STEP 4
Procedure
This is where the magic happens! The procedure itself can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours depending on the service (excluding time to shape & measure). Once the full procedure is done, you will get a chance to have a look at them to see if there is anything you want fixed. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction, so we always make sure you walk out the door happy. Don’t fret – we always have the perfection touch-up session 6 to 12 weeks post-procedure to do any final touches.
FAQS
- The most popular question...does it hurt?
Topical anaesthetic is applied to numb the area and minimize discomfort so this reduces the pain level. However, the pain threshold varies from client to client as it is dependent on the pain tolerance of each individual.
- Is the touch up session necessary?
It is highly advised, so that the features look refined and perfect. A touch-up session is done 4-6 weeks following the initial procedure to let the area fully heal – no earlier. There may be some areas where the pigment did not reach, and will need to be touched up.
- How long does a session take?
All eyebrow, lip and eyeliner procedures can take anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This takes into consideration of the whole procedure including shaping, planning and tattooing, where the tattooing itself should be under 1 hour. Touch-up sessions is approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.
- Do I need an appointment?
